The results of the review process for the DGPuK Conference 2008 in Lugano are now complete and the authors of the abstracts have been informed. 50 reviewers examined a total of 75 abstracts and 6 panel proposals. Every contribution has been reviewed by 3 subject experts using 6 fivefold scales. Based on the sum of the scale values (maximum 90), the 75 submitted abstracts were ranked, which was the central criterion for the choice of the selected abstracts. The highest rated contribution achieved 85 points (94% of all possible), the lowest score was 33 (37% of all possible points). The 27 highest rated single papers have been chosen for the conference program. To complete the thematic program, an additional 6 abstracts were selected. To choose among the submitted panel proposals, an analog review process has been applied; 3 panels have been selected. |
