Final program for the 53th DGPuK annual convention in Lugano

For the scientific program the peer-review process selected the 27 submitted papers (of 75 total), with the highest score. The program has also been enriched by six additional papers that fit thematically in the convention. Three out of six submitted panels have been chosen for the program. In the beginning of this year we are expecting thematic suggestions for the open panels.

On Wednesday evening, April 30th, the local host, Peter J. Schulz, will welcome the participants within the framework of the usual “Get Together” in the Ristorante Canvetto Luganese. The registration will be possible from 6.00 pm on.
On Thursday, May 1st, the conference program begins with the welcoming of the German ambassador of Switzerland, Andreas von Stechow, the President of the Università della Svizzera Italiana, Piero Martinoli, and the chairperson of DGPuK, Patrick Rössler. Afterwards Otfried Jarren (Zürich) will hold the first main lecture. In the afternoon, the guest speaker Elihu Katz (USA) and other contribution lectures will be held. During the gala dinner in the Ristorante La Perla, there will be an entertaining talk with the Swiss clown Dimitri.
On Friday afternoon, among the planned conference lectures, our other guest speaker Sonia Livingstone (USA) will present. The official conference program ends on Friday evening with a wine tasting as well as a final dinner in the Ristorante Vetta, which is located on the top of the landmark mountain of Lugano, “Monte San Salvatore”.
